This is the official website of the Twin Lights Historical Society, and whether you are looking to visit for the first time, or are drawn to our many posts about the history around here, welcome. We are the proud friends group for the New Jersey State Park Service, who owns and operates the Twin Lights State Historic Site, and please let us tell you about our National Landmark.

A visit to the Twin Lights offers a fun and interactive experience for families, science nerds, tower climbers, and history enthusiasts of all ages, featuring…

  • A panoramic view of New York City and the Jersey Shore

  • Not just one, but sometimes, two lighthouse towers to climb

  • Exhibits and programs featuring the many scientific “firsts” witnessed here

  • Site historians available by scheduling a tour

  • An interactive Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics experience for kids

  • A pretty awesome museum store

  • And did we mention two lighthouse towers and it looks like a castle?

We look forward to seeing you here on your travels… you won’t be disappointed!
